So close! It certainly looked like the 14-0 Panthers would become just the second team to finish the regular season 16-0. After an extremely tough win against the NY Giants all they had left on the schedule were the lowly Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Having just beaten the Atlanta two weeks earlier 38-0 not many expected these same Falcons to be the ones to put a smile on Mercury Morris and Don Shula's faces.

Before we start sketching any new sports parody logos we search to see if there is anything already out there. Occasionally someone has already beaten us to the punch. Rather than work around the edges of their design (A.K.A copying it) or trying to come up with a completely new concept, sometimes it makes sense to acquire it and make the artist part of the Parody Tease family.
This is exactly what happened when we came across Clarence Cromwell's funny MSU logo aptly titled "Poor Sparty". Clarence really knocked it out of the park with this logo and we couldn't have done it better ourselves. With the College Football Playoffs nearly upon us and MSU's opponent already parodied, we are excited to re-release our Michigan State Spartans parody logo.

It's been a while since the football fans of Minnesota have been able to celebrate late into the season.
Fran Tarkenton, Chris Carter, and Randy Moss aren't putting pads on any time soon. That said, as we write this it is December and the Vikings are very much so in the hunt for a playoff spot. At one point they had won five games in a row and on December 6th they held a late-season division lead. Only a week later however, (and best said in the voice of Verbal Kint) "Just like that...it's gone."
This week the Vikings were down only 3 points with just a few seconds left in the game. In field goal range already, as every arm chair quarterback yelled at their TV "Kick it, kick it"...they rolled out for a gutsy pass play FOR THE WIN!!... and fumbled.
Creating a Minnesota Vikings funny logo was a no-brainer because it's too good of an original logo and also it completes the NFC Central for us ( Bears, Packers, and Lions). With the events from this week's game it made sense to finally release it.
Through the 1970's and early 80's the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders had an undisputed place among professional football's elite teams. The owner, Al Davis, had unique gravitas that none before him possessed. Not always popular but always controversial, Al Davis was tolerant yet closed-minded, progressive yet stubborn. In the beginning of his career he was the young prodigy becoming the youngest coach in the AFL. The latter part of his career he was the eccentric old man who didn't know when to let go.
When the NFL's history book is written it will include Mr. Davis as the brash civil rights activist who wasn't afraid to take a stand against his own league and built a dynasty in the process. He didn't start building his dynasty just with star players. He started by building an attitude of "Just win, baby" that permeated through the players, coaches, and even the fans. Now a few years removed from his death the Raiders are still trying to dig out of the hole that Al Davis left them in and have developed a new team motto....

We couldn't do a Miami Hurricanes funny logo without returning the favor to their two biggest rivals. What makes these rivalries so great is that if you live in Florida, your neighbor to the right may root for FSU while your neighbor to the left might pull for UF. And you of course, sandwiched in the middle of a blue flag and a garnet and gold flag might proudly display orange and green. So think twice about what color shirt to wear the next time you go ask one of those neighbors to borrow a cup of sugar. Nolenation or Alligator Army?
